A site for hosting heroes 3 tournaments

Frequently asked questions

Who are you and what do you do?

We are a group of people who love Heroes of Might and Magic 3, and want to see it flourish. To this end, we made a website that makes organising tournaments easy.

How can I contact you?

A sure way of contacting us is by using our contact page. You can also visit our Discord server, Facebook group, Facebook page, Twitch channel or Youtube channel.

I want to play in a tournament, how do I do it?

First, you will need an account. You can register here. Once you have an account, you can go to the list of tournaments and pick one that is planned. When you go to its page, read its description and it will likely tell you what you need to do to participate.

I want to organize a tournament, how do I do it?

First, you will need an account. You can register here. Once you have an account, you will need to contact us. After a quick chat we will give you a rank letting you create a tournament. Our tournaments are quite flexible in their structure, and we are actively working on adding more options. If you have an idea for a new type of tournament, let us know, and chances are we will implement it in a week or two.

What features do you offer for your tournaments?

To start with, our system automates a lot of menial tasks. Users can report results of their games, and a wide system for automatically computing winners and moving them to their next games is in place. On top of that, we allow the organizer to manage tournament referees, who can manage small things like match reports.

Each tournament consists of multiple phases. Here is a list of some standard ones:

Signup phase - a way to enter a tournament. Can be made invitation only.
Group phase - players play in small groups, each group has a set number of winners.
Knockout phase - players play a match, winner progresses, loser is eliminated.
Bracket - a composition of several knockout phases in a row, for example quarterfinals, semifinals and grand final.
Double elimination brackets - a pair of brackets, losers from top one play in the lower one, losers of lower one are eliminated.
League phase - a round robin phase, with a set number of winners based on number of wins.
League phase - a swiss phase, with a set number of winners based on number of wins.

Team signup phase - a way to enter a tournament for teams.
Team league phase - league phase for teams.

We can create channels for your tournament on our discord, as well as provide you with a rules template.

I found a bug, or have an idea for improvement!

That is great, we want our website to be as amazing as possible. Please contact us.

How do I report what happened in my game?

To start, you will need to log in. Then, you need to find the match in question. A list of your matches can be found here.

Once you are on the match page, you can add a new report, unless the match is over. If your opponent added a report already, you can confirm it. If you make a mistake when adding a report, you can remove it, but your opponent can't. Participants cannot confirm their own reports - to prevent false self-confirmed reports. A tournament referee can do all of the above with no restrictions.

What are teams?

Teams are groups of players who want to play together in a team tournament. Any user can make a new one here. Team creator will be the team captain. They can invite other users to join their team, but the invited users will need to accept the invitation before most team features will work for them.

What are team matches?

When two teams compete, they do so via the so-called small matches. Small matches are matches between team users - 1v1 or 2v2. Team captains can make new small matches. Referees can remove them in case of a mistake.

What are predictions?

Predictions allow you to guess the result of a game before it happens, and get a reward based on your accuracy. Guessing the results correctly will give you more points. Tournament organizers can choose to use the ranking of predictions for their tournament for give-aways. We also keep track of the global prediction ranking.

You can only make a single prediction per match. If a match has a report (even unconfirmed), you cannot add predictions for it. This is because the match is likely started. A referee can also set the exact match start time, and any predictions after that will be invalid.

Predictions don't work for team matches, but do work for small matches in them.

I want to delete some of my data, or my account.
